Airwick’s V.I.Poo next to a travel sized vial of PooPourri – toilet deodorizing sprays.

“Everybody poops, dear” – Walter Bishop.

Sure, everyone does it, but no one really wants to talk about using the bathroom (and the smell associated with defecation). But, because everyone does, it gets talked about, eventually. Not just between friends, but in boardrooms for companies like Poo Pourri. I’ve reviewed this one, before, actually on my YouTube channel (and here’s a video version of this post as well) . It was years ago and I never did end up repurchasing, but I recently found something similar as I was checking out over the weekend, so I decided to give it a shot and see how it compares in this post on V.I.Poo vs PooPourri.

Roses really smell like boo boo.

There were two scents and I chose the rose one (I don’t remember exactly what the other one was, sorry). I was immediately reminded of Outkast’s “Roses”, an old favorite song of mine. Who wouldn’t want their poop to smell like flowers? I used it a few times just to make sure I could forumlate a proper opinion for you all. The first couple times, I was less than impressed. My hand soap smelled stronger than this. I fully expected the bathroom to smell like roses afterwards (it did when I first sprayed it). All I smelled was my soap when I left. The third time, I figured out what to expect. A nice scent before the bomb dropped, to cover my shame, and no scent afterwards.

V.I.Poo vs PooPourri, who wins?

V.I.Poo and PooPourri again, which would you choose?

In all, I’m glad there are more options for people who, perhaps feel the scents are overpowering with Poo Pourri (they are very strong, from what I remember, there was definitely no need to spray 4-5 times as VIPoo suggests). Different products are going to work differently and I can live with that, but I’ll probably just go back to buying PooPourri. I don’t have to use as much and the scent lasts longer. I’ve also made my own diy version of poo pourri, I’d be glad to share that if anyone’s interested. In the meantime, check out my most recent makeup haul.

Have you tried either of these or do they seem like a ridiculous concept to you? Let me know in the comments, have a wonderful day and I’ll see you all soon!
