Soo Ae Gold Anti-Aging Peel Off Mask Review

Hey, wonderful people, welcome back to my blog. It’s Skincare Saturday and I’m back with a long-overdue post. So I was enthusiastic on my birthday and uploaded 6 posts? I didn’t want an empty blog (then I got depressed and…did nothing, but I feel better, so I’m back). If you’re subscribed to my channel, you’ll know I’m addicted to skincare (particularly face masks of any kind…I have so many that there’s never an excuse (aside from health) to not do a post on Saturdays, at least).

Anyway, let me tell you about this mask (If you prefer video, you can see my review here)!

my favorite treatment!
Hi, it’s almost peel-time!

I found this while I was out shopping (I got a couple more from this line, as well. I think this month (the rest of it, anyway) will be Soo Ae Month because of that. I’ve been wanting to play with a gold peel off face mask for the longest. I still need to get my hands on the Elizavecca gold mask, that’s the one I really want, but this one wasn’t bad. It smelled pleasant – very much like Mandarin Oranges (which, I can’t eat (food allergies), but that’s fine, ‘cuz I can smell it no problem, hehe). I didn’t expect the scent to last very long, either. Perhaps 5 minutes? Not sure why I expected the scent to disappear after such a short amount of time, really.

The consistency was pretty nice, I didn’t find it to be excessively runny, it went on a little tacky (I’d expect that as a noob with peel off masks, I kind of enjoy it), but was very spreadable. A little certainly went a long way. Very much like my Elizavecca Hell Pore face mask – that stuff lasts forever. Peeling it off was the fun part, of course! I love when time’s up on a peel-off mask, because I like to try for a fully preserved sheet. I know some people will think I’m lying about this, but neither one hurt me (Hell Pore or this Soo Ae mask) while taking them off. I was wary of the Elizavecca Hell Pore face mask because I’d seen a few videos before buying and every one in those videos cried and was left with red skin (not really a concern of mine, as it would take a lot for the redness to show), but that was not the case for me. It felt kind of like peeling the glue off my hands in elementary? That never hurt, and it was a fun pastime (maybe the kids in my class were weird, but it’s definitely something we did). I definitely succeeded with this one.

a well-peeled face mask.
Success! Gold, anyone?

Hope you all enjoyed my review of this Soo Ae Gold Anti Aging peel off mask. If you did, be sure to follow the blog and subscribe to my channel because I have more than just corresponding videos to my makeup and skincare blog posts – way more. Have a wonderful day and I’ll see you all next time!

  1. I love using Peel Off mask because it always leaves my face feeling so smooth. I never tired a Gold mask but it has always been interested to try it. Is this something that you would consider buying again?

    1. Definitely. It may take a while before I need to, but this one’s right up with Hell Pore on my masks to repurchase.

    2. Definitely! I just used it again a couple of days ago and all I can say is I’ll be keeping this one in my skincare collection!

  2. This mask looks like fun! I tried the 24k Hydrating mask from Peter Thomas Roth. It has 24k gold flecks in it and is brightening, but it’s cream mask. If you’re a mask junkie, you may also like the new Dr. Jart rubber masks that you can get at Sephora. There’s 4 kinds (brightening, hydrating, soothing, and anti-aging). Where did you find the brand you used for this review?

    1. Ooh! I haven’t heard of those, but I need to try them. I’m a total mask junkie, so I’ll be snatching those on my next Sephora run. I originally encountered this brand at TJ Maxx, but I find their products at Walmart pretty often.

  3. I’ve never tried a peel off mask but its on my list. I have a few products from this line in my stash. After this review, I’m going to finally give it a try 🙂

    1. Awesome! Can’t wait to see it if you do a post. I’ve been hooked on peel-off masks since the first one ^_^

    1. Not really, but only because I don’t have any, yet. All I really noticed was that my skin feels so much smoother after using it.
